Unscripted: The Youniversal Collective Is Awakening from the American Illusion

By Lori Marie

I’m writing this blog from an elevated perspective—one shaped by living inside the American system, yet awakened enough to see how the illusion of the "American Dream" has rippled far beyond its borders. It’s not just Americans who were sold this dream; the entire planet has been touched by its spell.

This post isn’t about blame—it’s about truth. A truth we all feel deep within. And the closer you are to your inner self, the more clearly you’ll see it: the Youniverse is shifting. The dream we were taught to chase is unraveling, and in its place, a new, more honest Earth Dream is beginning to form—one not rooted in illusion, image, or control, but in connection, nature, and soul.

I Always Knew Something Was Off

As a sensitive soul, I knew even as a young child that something about this world didn’t feel right. People didn’t love like I did. People were obsessed with glamour and money, and often seemed indifferent to how others felt. It was as if achieving a certain lifestyle—one sold as “success”—mattered more than living with empathy.

These ideals, part of what we call the American Dream, were false idols. And it took me a long time to realize that what I felt in my innocent heart was true all along. This world often feels like it’s moving in reverse—celebrating disconnection over humanity.

Self-Reflection is My Revolution

As an ever-evolving human, I’ve learned to pause, reflect, and unravel the layers of my life story. I now see that many of the choices I’ve made—from childhood to adulthood—were shaped by cultural conditioning, not by my soul’s truth.

There is nothing wrong with me. There never was. I am exactly as I was meant to be—a loving soul who deeply feels and cares for others.

One of the biggest collective challenges—especially among American women—is body image.

In Other Cultures, The Body is Sacred

In many Indigenous, African, South American, Polynesian, and Eastern traditions, the female body is revered:

  • As a vessel of life, power, and intuition

  • Celebrated in all sizes, shapes, and stages

  • Unsexualized when exposed, normalized in ritual and art

  • Seen as sacred—not something to be tamed, fixed, or controlled

Contrast that with American culture, which tends to commodify and control the female body. You're either “too much” or “not enough,” constantly judged through a lens of youth, thinness, and desirability as defined by patriarchy and profit. It’s a systemic lie so many women carry in their bones.

Myself, and millions of other American women, are in the process of shedding a belief that was never ours to carry. Our bodies are not marketing projects. They are stories of survival, sensuality, power, and divine intelligence.

America Is Not the Dream We Were Sold

To those outside the U.S.—please know this:The American Dream gave the world a false image of life in America. We are not all movie stars basking in sunshine. We are ordinary people navigating cultural programming, economic pressure, and generational trauma.

Like your homeland, we are made up of many cultures, faiths, and identities, shaped by how much we bring home in a paycheck—not how many filters we use on a screen.

Don’t escape to America expecting answers. Instead, go into nature. Sit with silence and self reflect. Let the Earth remind you of who you were before the programming. Self-reflect. Feel your own cultural stories. Reclaim your authentic self. That is the way forward.

Let the Children Lead

Children come into this world with innate wisdom. They don’t need to be taught to conform to systems that are already crumbling. They need to be protected, nurtured, and allowed to grow free of the generational trauma we’ve been trying to survive.

It’s time to stop teaching them the ways of a society that forgot how to feel and remind them of what they too, already know love to be.

What’s Next? The New Dream

The Youniversal collective is waking up. We are remembering that the stories we've lived by were written from fear, control, and illusion.

We are now rewriting a new story—one aligned with authenticity, reverence for the body, deep empathy, and connection to Source.

I’d Love to Hear From You

I would love to hear your perspective on what I’ve shared in this blog. How has cultural or generational trauma shaped your experience? What old stories are you choosing to release? And what does your new Earth Dream look like?

Let’s evolve—together.
