If you’re new to astrology or have a basic understanding of your birth chart, you may have noticed a symbol that looks like a horseshoe (☊) and wondered what it means. This is your North Node. On the opposite end of the chart, you’ll see the reversed horseshoe (☋), representing your South Node. Curious to learn more? The North & South Nodes: Your Soul's Map

The North and South Nodes aren't physical planets but rather mathematical points in space where the Moon's orbit intersects with the ecliptic (the Sun’s apparent path). Because they’re calculated rather than physically present, their influence is subtle, but their impact on your soul's evolution is deeply spiritual. The Nodes guide your soul's path rather than influencing everyday events, steering you toward your destiny and purpose.

In your birth chart, the North and South Nodes are always directly opposite each other, creating a natural polarity. For example, my South Node is in Cancer in the 9th house, where nurturing, intuition, and teaching about spirituality come naturally. But my North Node lies in Capricorn in the 3rd house, calling me to balance my intuitive gifts with the practical business-oriented mindset of Capricorn. By integrating these energies, I can serve the community and teach with a grounded, goal-oriented approach.
