The Astrology of The Great Awakening

Reflecting back on all the chaos our world has been in since 2020, many feel as though the COVID pandemic was the catalyst for the great awakening of the masses. Life forced the souls of the planet to stop in the midst of chaos and face many inner and outer demons!

Now we are in 2025 and we feel it upon us once again!

Looking through the lens of an astrologer, these chaotic soul awakening experiences start abruptly and also at times end the same way. In 2020, Chiron, the wounded warrio,r started its conjunct with Eris. You may not recognize Chiron or Eris as planets, so let me quickly explain how they play a role in our cosmos! Chiron is a centaur or a small body orbiting between Saturn and Uranus. Chiron in mythology has been labeled the wounded warrior, and in our own personal chart,s it explains the age and circumstances where our deepest inner wound began in our life.

Eris is not a planet; it is a dwarf planet way out beyond Pluto. In astrology, Eris represents discord, disruption, and the outsider’s voice that refuses exclusion, exposing hidden fractures in order to force awareness. It symbolizes the chaotic catalyst that destabilizes old systems so deeper truths and necessary change can emerge.

When these two celestial bodies met in 2020, it was the start of our planet's greatest awakening in hundreds, if not thousands of years. The collective was pushed into a mirror, forced to confront what had been hidden beneath the surface for far too long. And now, in 2025, their exact conjunction at 25–26° Aries has perfected stirring up that same raw, uncomfortable energy that cracks illusions wide open.

This isn’t random. Aries is the sign of identity, survival, and primal truth so Chiron and Eris here expose the wounds of who we are at the core, while simultaneously shattering the lies we’ve built to avoid them. The chaos we see in the world isn’t just collapse; it’s initiation. It’s the friction that forces us to grow, to heal, to awaken.

So if life feels volatile, if the world seems louder and harsher than ever — remember, we are inside a cosmic process of disruption that is meant to heal. The wound and the discord are the medicine. The youniverse, your inner world that is projecting outward, is trying to show you where you need to heal, grow, and evolve as a species. We are all being triggered by these projections, and we are all waking up to who we truly are and our limitless potential as multidimensional beings.
